FEMA Flood Zones Map
How to use the WebMap: This WebMap displays FEMA flood zones (100-year and 500-year floodplains), along with high water marks from the July 2024 flooding of Great Brook. It is designed to give an overview of potential flooding risks in Plainfield and Marshfield.
Zoom in on the map to locate specific buildings. When you click on a location, a pop-up window will appear showing all mapped features within a small radius of that point. Use this information to identify which addresses are associated with each household.
In the top-right corner of the WebMap, you’ll find a “Map and Tools” button. Clicking it opens a dropdown menu with two options:

- Layers and Legend: Displays all available map layers (such as roads, bridges, and dams). You can toggle these layers on or off as needed.
- Map Tools: Includes a measurement tool that allows you to calculate distances. You can choose between units such as meters, feet, kilometers, or miles to better understand how far routes, paths, or shelters are for walking or driving.
