COVID-19 Information
From the Vermont Department of HealthProtect Yourself and Others
Cases of COVID-19 have been rising this summer, in large part because of the highly transmissible Delta variant. The vast majority of cases continue to be among people who are unvaccinated. This is why the Vermont Department of Health strongly encourages everyone who is eligible to protect themselves by getting vaccinated as soon as possible. However, those who are vaccinated, even fully vaccinated, can become infected with COVID-19 and spread it to others. Since being in close contact with others in enclosed spaces is likely to include some exposure to COVID-19, consider carefully whether it would be wiser to not attend indoor events like concerts, dances, weddings, educational presentations, and others. And continue to take simple preventions steps: Wear a mask, wash your hands regularly, stay home if you feel sick, and get tested if you have any symptoms. As always, if you're healthy, practice self-care so you stay that way by boosting your immune system in ways that work for you.
