Water & Wastewater efforts during the July 2023 flood
Some unsung heroes during the flood: Plainfield’s Water & Wastewater Department. During the height of the deluge the Chief System Operator, Tristan MacGregor-Stewart & system operator Scott Franks, took extraordinary measure to prevent equipment from being destroyed.
Furthermore when the plant returned to service they guided a process whereby the plant was able to process exponentially more water than normal. This required putting in extraordinary numbers of hours aided by careful pre-flood planning.
