DMV renewals & birth certificates

Starting Monday Oct. 7, 2024 the Plainfield Town Clerk’s Office will no longer process DMV paperwork. Please contact the DMV directly either in person in Montpelier or online.
We also encourage residents to obtain birth certificates via the State website
https://secure.vermont.gov/VSARA/vitalrecords/. The town administration needs to place resources where they are most in demand in the aftermath of the July flood.
